The Sustainable Agriculture Education and Empowerment (SAEE) Fun Day was organized as part of Christian Food Aid International’s ongoing initiative to promote agricultural awareness and Christian values among secondary school students. The event aimed to create an engaging and educational atmosphere that fostered learning, moral development, and fun activities among students from different participating schools.
The event’s host was St. John’s High School, Oke Atan, Ile-Ife. Students and staff from other participating schools were warmly welcomed to the venue on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2025, for a day filled with impactful discussions, games, and fun activities.
Before the event, a volunteer flyer was posted across CFA social platforms to gather support for the successful coordination of the event. A total of eight (8) volunteers responded and were formally enlisted. These individuals were briefed on their roles and responsibilities in advance and were instrumental in the overall execution of the event.
Registration and Arrival
As the students from the participating schools arrived, registration commenced immediately. New attendees were given branded SAEE T-shirts, while students who had attended the SAEE inauguration wore their previously issued shirts. Each school was accompanied by two focal teachers, who also signed in upon arrival. After registration, students were ushered into the event hall by the volunteers and were seated in an orderly manner.

The program commenced with an opening prayer led by Kenny Ojo, one of the CFA staff. This was followed by a welcome speech from the CFA Project Manager, who expressed appreciation for the schools’ involvement and shared the importance of the SAEE initiative.
Talk Show Session
A line-up of speakers took the stage to deliver impactful talks on various selected topics. These sessions were interactive, and the students were highly engaged. The different sessions and the facilitators include:
The Gems and Careers in Sustainable Agriculture: The Project Manager, Mr. Eyitayo Mobolaji highlighted the different opportunities and careers in agriculture.
Etiquette: Social Skills, Public Behaviour & Communication: Miss Confidence Adefiwitan while presenting on the topic, encouraged students to embrace effective communication and carry themselves with confidence and elegance.

Breakout Sessions on Sexual Purity
Following the talk show, the students were divided into male and female breakout sessions to discuss the sensitive topic of sexual purity, aligning with the moral and spiritual objectives of the SAEE project.
Female Session

Kehinde Ojo, a female CFA staff member, led this. The female students were encouraged to embrace sexual purity, self-worth, and godly values. The students listened attentively and participated actively. During the Q&A session, the female students were particularly open and vulnerable, asking deep personal and thoughtful questions. Some female teachers stepped in to provide guidance and support, and students were encouraged to reach out to female CFA staff for guidance.
Male Session
The session for male students was facilitated by Daniel, the Outreach Officer. He addressed the importance of integrity, self-control, and sexual purity in the life of a young man. A contact number was provided for students who may wish to seek further guidance privately. Male teachers were also present and supportive throughout the session. The use of cardboard messages with thought-provoking text during the sessions drew the attention and interest of the students, making the sessions even more impactful.
To the Glory of God, over thirty-five (35) souls were rededicated to God.
Sports/Games Activities
After the breakout sessions, students gathered on the field for sports and games, which helped foster healthy competition and team spirit.
Activities included:
• Football match between teams from different schools
• Egg race involving students from all participating schools
• Chinese whispers game, which included both students and teachers
Each game was enthusiastically received, with cheering and laughter filling the air. Photographic documentation was carried out by an assigned volunteer, capturing moments of joy and unity.
Teachers were also actively involved in the games, especially during the Chinese whispers, which was anchored by Favour Falade, CFA admin officer.

Awards and Recognition
Winners of the games were announced, and a trophy was awarded to the football champions. Teachers present presented the awards to the students who excelled in the egg race and football activities.
