Our outreach to the children’s correctional facility owned and operated by the Osun State Government, held on 16th July 2025, in Osogbo, was a deeply impactful experience for both our team and the children we had the privilege to meet.
Upon arrival, our team and management were warmly welcomed by the matron, Mrs. Aina, who provided a brief overview of the facility’s structure and daily operations. The correctional facility is home to children and young adults ranging in age from as young as three (3) to about twenty-five (25) years, including children with disabilities and teenagers from different walks of life. Although security protocols prevented us from taking photographs. The children greeted us with joy and laughter, creating a heartwarming atmosphere that set the tone for the day’s activities.
The program began with a vibrant praise and worship session led by the children themselves, their voices filled with excitement and gratitude. This was followed by an introduction to the vision and mission of CFA, delivered by Mr. Daniel Ighodalo (Outreach Officer). Shortly after, Mr. Eyitayo Mobolaji (Project Manager) encouraged the children with an inspirational talk titled “You Are God’s Heritage and God’s Arrow.” We were honoured to have with us the co-director, Mrs Olubunmi Arije, and a staff member, Miss Kehinde Ojo.
The Word session, led by our Director, Dr. Olujide Arije, culminated in a powerful time of prayer and deliverance. By God’s grace, twenty-three (23) children surrendered their lives to Christ, experiencing freedom and restoration from the bondage of the enemy.
In addition to spiritual support, CFA also provided material assistance. Essential foodstuffs such as rice, beans, groundnut oil, indomie and so on were donated to the facility, while snacks were shared among the children. The smiles on their faces and the gratitude of the staff were a reminder of the importance of showing God’s love in practical ways.
At CFA, we hold firmly to the belief that every child is a gift from God, deserving of love, dignity, and opportunities to thrive. Our outreach programs are therefore not only about meeting immediate needs but also about inspiring hope, strengthening faith, and affirming the God-given potential within every child. the memories of the fellowship shared remain priceless.
