About Christian Food Aid

Christian Food Aid (CFA) International is a faith-based non-governmental organization dedicated to providing love and care to people all over the world who are particularly in short supply of basic needs, especially food.

Our vision is No one goes to bed hungry tonight' it is quite ambitious but we believe it is something that God would have us do. While our primary objective is to provide food, we will also seek to provide resources that will help persons affected by circumstances that makes them vulnerable, especially those in the earliest phase of recovery from disasters, to give them a better chance to rebuild their lives. Furthermore, we also reach out to target persons in the societies wherever we function who are in acute need of rehabilitation such as prisoners, street children, the challenged (physically, mentally etc.) amongst others.

How it all started

The vision for CFA was conceived sometimes in the year 2014 when a group of Christian folks were planning a musical benefit concert to assist children of some selected orphanages within Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Building on the success of the concert, this group started to organize other events such as Easter picnics and Children’s day celebration for children and staff of these orphanages. In 2019, CFA International became registered as a not-for-profit organization. In 2020 we expanded our scope of operation by securing an office space and employing a staff. In December that year two outreaches held, one to a special school that caters for students with special needs which government facilitated and the second a food support program to some selected families in need.
